What Is 2iCTech Stocker?

Stocker is a web based application that helps Trade Services and other small businesses, Count, Order and Restock regularly consumed materials.

Many businesses who provide Trade Services, count and order stock in a cycle, to keep a certain level of regularly used materials on hand. You might count certain materials once or twice a month, then at the end of that month, place an order to replenish the materials you've used.

For example, you might be an Electrician who likes to keep 10 metres of electrical cable in your Van, as you use this regularly. So you stock and set a Target of 10 metres for that material, which a supplier provides as a 20 metre drum.

On a regular basis, you or your staff count the materials in that Van, and if there is less than 10 metres, you place an order for One Drum (20 metres) to replenish your stock. You may currently have to do this for many materials, at different locations by capturing this in notes, then collating, calculating and creating emails to different suppliers, to manage your inventory.

Improve Productivity

2iCTech Stocker can improve productivity, saving time and money through these features:

  1. Capture your supplier details.
  2. Allow you to enter / upload regularly used materials and keep these up-to-date.
  3. Capture the locations (e.g Garage, Warehouse, Van or Store) and the Areas in those locations (like Shelf A, or Drawer 2).
  4. Enter which Materials are stocked in which Location and Area and set target quantities for these materials and locations/areas.
  5. Count Stock in those locations.
  6. Counting can be done manually, or Guided by Stocker. In a guided count, Stocker guides a user to count materials in Areas based on the chronological order (oldest to newest) of count dates to help keep material levels up to date.
  7. Based on your stock counts and targets, Stocker will generate a Purchase Order of those materials you need to order from your Supplier(s).
  8. Stocker is multi-user, you can add Staff members to Stocker who may not order materials, but regularly count stock for you.

What does Stocker cost?

2iCTech Stocker is provided as a monthly subscription, charged to a credit/debit card. The cost is currently $9.90 AUD Including Tax.

You can cancel your monthly subscription at anytime.

Do I have to use the Restock Features?

Stocker has two restocking Features -

Restock From Warehouse

Restock from Warehouse is a convenience Feature, for users who want to have materials delivered to a central storage area (e.g in a Garage) for subsequent restocking to other areas (e.g. in one or more Vans.) If you don't have this setup you won't need to use this feature. For example, you may order materials and restocked directly into one or more vans, without storing any materials centrally.

Restock From Order

Using Restock from Order is required for all Stocker users, however there is a simplified way to do this for users who do not want to check and count in every item they recieve with an order. With one-click you can tell stocker "everything for this order has been received." There are pros and cons to this which are explained in our Help Pages

Does Stocker have any limitations record numbers?

Yes. There are limitations on the number of records an account can add. This is to ensure appropriate use of the application and the integrity of our service. These limits are generous and should be more than sufficient to meet small business requirements within the scope of Stocker's intended use. The following table outlines these limits per account, for the major data types in Stocker.

Materials 2,000
Locations 50
Areas (Per Location) 100
Suppliers 50
Users 10

Can I use my existing data?

There is a Materials spreadsheet template that you can download, populate and use to import materials into Stocker. This can save considerable time when you have lots materials to count and order regularly.

Can my staff use Stocker?

Yes. There are three roles in Stocker - 'Owner', 'Manager' and 'Staff'.

Owners can manage Locations, Areas, Suppliers and Users. They can also upload/create materials and create and manage Orders. Owners also manage the subscription features of Stocker.

Managers can perform all the functions an Owner can, except for managing Account related functions like Subscription and Payment.

Staff members can be added to Stocker, giving them access to count materials in any Location. Staff can also Restock from Order and Warehouse.

Which Countries can access Stocker?

Stocker is currently available to businesses located in Australia, the UK and New Zealand only. We plan to expand access in the near future.

What devices are supported?

As a web based solution, Stocker can be used on most modern devices.

For adminstrative/management functions, we recommend using Stocker on tablets, laptops or desktops.

For counting inventory, Stocker works well on most mobile phones, but we recommend a minimum screen size of around 6" diagonally. For example, the Apple iphone 11 or Samsung Galaxay S20.

What support is provided?

Most support questions can be answered via:

  1. Comprehensive help documentation. Most pages have an info icon, which if clicked loads help relevant to that page. Help can also be accessed from the main menu, in the top bar.
  2. There are a number of video tutorials available on 2IC TECH's Youtube channel.
  3. There is a "Getting Started" guide available from the main Help Menu.
  4. This FAQ also provides useful information.
2IC TECH provides email support for any critical subscriber enquires . Please note, phone support is not provided.

Is Stocker right for my business?

Stocker helps by automating parts of a manual process, for trade services businesses. However, Stocker is not a perpetual inventory system, where every material movement is identified and tracked using technology like barcodes. If this is what your business needs, there are other products available that may be more suitable.

Best for materials used regularly.

Stocker is best for counting and ordering materials that need to be replenished regularly. If most of your inventory is consumed irregularly, or only moves during one-off or infrequent projects or tasks, then Stocker may not be the best tool for these requirements.

No Integration with Other Systems.

Stocker does not currently integrate with other systems or services and is a standalone application.
